Module 5: Managing Co-Morbidities
This module focuses on the management of common mental and physical co-morbidities in patients with major depressive disorder. In primary care, MDD rarely occurs in isolation, so family doctors must address conditions such as substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and cardiometabolic, respiratory, musculoskeletal, and immune diseases. The module explores strategies for partnering with patients to manage these co-existing conditions effectively. You will also follow up with Hassan and meet Kofi, a new patient.
